The Wakefield and District Play Forum is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee in England and Wales.
We act as an advocate for children's play within the Wakefield Authority. We bring together people who work in settings where children can play and learn and support local play projects and organisations. Membership is open to anyone who has an interest in children's play related issues or providing services for children's play within the district.
The Play Forum seeks to promote a good variety of quality, sustainable, locally accessible play provision for all children in the district. We provide information and support for playworkers, community groups and individuals.

We employ three playworkers who provide an outreach
Play Ranger service in Pontefract and an Administrator.
